Maharashtra: A fire in Thane district destroyed three stores, but no one was harmed

According to a municipal official, three stores in the Thane district were completely destroyed by fire on Friday morning. The news agency PTI stated that no one was injured in the incident.

According to the official, the fire started at approximately eight in the morning in one of the stores in Mumbra’s Shil-Phata neighborhood and quickly spread to two other businesses.

According to Yasin Tadvi, head of the municipal disaster management cell, the fire was put out in an hour after local firemen and disaster management specialists were called into action, PTI said.

Three stores in the Thane area were completely destroyed by fire, he said, adding that no one was hurt in the event and that the reason of the fire is yet unknown.

In a different instance, authorities said that on April 19 in the afternoon, a fire started at a plant that made plastic items in Maharashtra’s Thane district, as reported by the PTI.

According to the authorities, nobody was hurt during the event.

A police officer said that the fire broke out at the plant located in Kalam village on the Mumbai-Agra route in Shahapur taluka at about 3 p.m.

According to a district crisis management cell official, water tankers were called into action and firefighting activities were under way.

Authorities said that the region was filled with smoke and that they could see flames for a considerable distance.

They said that the cause of the fire is yet unknown.

In the meanwhile, on April 18, a large fire started in a godown near Mumbai’s Reay Road.

The municipal organization said that no one had been reported injured in the fire.

Around 10.40 am, the BMC said, a fire broke out at the Devidayal Compound in the Darukhana area on Reay Road.

The municipal organization said, “The fire was contained to a single storey godown.”

According to the BMC, twelve fire engines and additional fire brigade vehicles were sent to the scene.

Ambulance, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) workers, Mumbai Police, and local municipal ward staff had also arrived at the location.

The authorities said that the fire was put out at around 5:20 p.m.

They said that the cause of the fire was yet unknown.
