Mallikarjun Kharge states in reference to the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, “Don’t be swayed by diversionary tactics; come out and vote to protect democracy.”

In order to save democracy from the grip of tyranny, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge encouraged people to cast ballots on Friday as the second round of the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 got underway.

He made a strong plea to voters, telling them that this is not your typical election and that they shouldn’t be influenced by any deceptive strategies.

He said that before pressing the vote button, individuals should feel the Constitution deeply in their hearts.

Kharge also urged first-time voters to cast their ballots in big numbers, emphasizing that they were the ones who would really bring about change in this democratic movement.

Before you click the vote, let the words “We, the people of India,” which are the essence of the Indian Constitution, echo in your hearts and thoughts. Remember that this is not your typical election. In his address on X, he said, “This election is to save democracy from the grasp of despotism.

“Dear folks, please do not be persuaded by falsehoods or deceptive methods. I am speaking for 89 Constituencies in 13 States and UTs. Make sure every vote counts. Because it introduces the paradigm of Yuva Nyay, Nariman Nyay, Kishan Nyay, Shramik Nyay, and Hissedari Nyay, it has the potential to transform the lives of 140 crore Indians,” Kharge said.

The head of Congress remarked, “Imagine a future where justice, freedom, equality, and liberty are guaranteed.” He also said, “Imagine a future where transformative policies and rapid inclusive growth are guaranteed.”

“My dear first time voters, cut the clutter and distance the din, for you are the real changemakers and I welcome each one of you in this movement for Democracy,” he said.

The polls opened on Friday at 7 a.m. Votes will be tallied on June 4 after the seven stages of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, which begin on June 1 and end on June 1.

The Election Commission of India reports that 88 seats from 13 states and union territories would compete in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections’ second phase.

With all 20 seats up for election today, Kerala has the most constituencies, followed by Karnataka with 14. Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tripura, and Manipur are among the other states that will hold elections on Friday. Friday will also see voting for the parliamentary seat in Jammu. There are 1202 contenders in the race, 1098 of them are men and 102 of whom are women.

The electorate that will choose candidates consists of 7.8 crore female and 8.08 crore male voters. In the second round of voting, 5,929 voters who identify as third genders will also exercise their right to vote.

The world’s biggest electoral process, the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections 2024, began with 102 seats spread over 21 states and Union Territories on April 19. The Election Commission reports that more than 62% of registered voters participated. The election for the third phase is scheduled on May 7.
