Malook Nagar was named general secretary of the party after joining the Rashtriya Lok Dal

Malook Nagar, who joined Jayant Chaudhary’s Rashtriya Lok Dal, was named the party’s general secretary on Friday. In the presence of Jayant Chaudhary, Nagar joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal on Thursday.

Nagar, a member of the Lok Sabha representing western Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor, announced his resignation from the BSP and his intention to support the RLD candidates running in the area. As a candidate for the BSP, which at the time was allied with the RLD and Samajwadi Party, Nagar had won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

“Today is the first time in my 39 years that I am not running for MP or MLA, but I have chosen to quit the BSP because I want to work for the nation. This is a sensible choice,” he said.

By putting a green thread on his wrist, which represents farmers and their connection to the fields, Chaudhary welcomed Nagar to the RLD. Nagar would support RLD candidates in western Uttar Pradesh, according to Chaudhary, and bolster the NDA there.
