Man shot dead, minor apprehended in New Delhi

New Delhi: The police said that a youngster was taken into custody in relation to the shooting death of a 35-year-old man who was shot in the head at close range in Seelampur on Saturday. Shahnawaz, a laborer, was shot in the head on Friday at close range, purportedly as a result of his declining protection money.

After being taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, he was transferred to Lok Nayak Hospital, where he ultimately passed away from his wounds. The offender was recognized by the police after reviewing the CCTV video. One of the minor defendants has been taken into custody. Health concerns for the elderly are mentioned

New Delhi: At the first national conference of the non-governmental Indian Association of Age Management, top doctors from many specialties convened to deliberate on health issues affecting the elderly population.

Based on the World Health Organization’s “Healthy Ageing decade 2021–30” initiative, the conference was held at the India International Centre. Experts spoke about the need to raise participant and societal awareness of the issues faced by an aging population and to find workable and long-term solutions.

In addition to doctors, representatives of the Geriatrics Society of India and Help Age India, as well as psychologists and an advocate, shared their knowledge on issues pertaining to the elderly.
