Massive fire in Delhi's Mundka, 27 bodies removed from the building, President and Prime Minister expressed grief

A massive fire broke out in a building in Delhi's Mundka today. The magnitude of the fire in the building was such that 27 people have died so far. Delhi Fire Director Atul Garg said that a total of 27 bodies have been recovered from the building while the rescue work is still going on. More than 20 fire tenders are trying to douse the fire. According to the information, the fire has been brought under control. Outer District, Delhi DCP Sameer Sharma said that 15 fire tenders are present on the spot, we have called more fire tenders. The fire is on 2 floors. We have rescued 50-60 people so far.

It is being told that some people have jumped from the building, they have been admitted to the hospital. The adjoining building has been evacuated. As the fire started, there was a plume of black smoke all around in the sky. Delhi Police said that preliminary inquiries have revealed that it is a 3-storey commercial building which is generally used to provide office space to companies. The fire started from the first floor of the building which houses the office of a CCTV cameras and router manufacturing company. The owner of the company is in police custody. There has been an accident in the fire incident and serious efforts are being made to control the situation. 

Expressing grief over the incident, President Ram Nath Kovind said that I am pained by the horrific fire accident that took place in a building near Mundka metro station in Delhi. My condolences to the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted expressing grief over the incident. In his tweet, Modi said that I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to the massive fire in Delhi. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Home Minister Amit Shah said that the incident of fire in Delhi's Mundka is very sad. I am in constant touch with the concerned officials, the administration is engaged in relief and rescue work. NDRF is also reaching there soon. Our priority is to evacuate people and provide immediate treatment to the injured.

The PMO tweeted that the families of those who lost their lives in the fire in Delhi will be given two lakh rupees each by PMNRF. 50,000 will be given to the injured. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that I am shocked and hurt to know about this tragic incident. I am in constant touch with senior officers. Our brave firefighters are doing their best to douse the fire and save lives. God bless all.
