“Modi ka Parivar”: FIR filed after posters portraying PM Modi with fugitives appeared in downtown Delhi

According to an official on Wednesday, the Delhi Police has filed an FIR in relation to posters that appeared in several locations in central Delhi and featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with wanted businessmen Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya.

“Modi ka asli pariwar” (the actual Modi family) was the caption on the posters, and “Bhartiya Yuva Congress” was printed at the bottom.

According to a senior police official, the posters have been taken down and a charge under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act has been filed at the Tughlak Road Police Station against unidentified individuals.

According to him, the case was filed on Tuesday in response to a complaint made by a New Delhi Municipal Council officer.

According to the police, neither the publisher nor the individual who displayed the posters’ names was on them.

In a counteroffensive against RJD leader Lalu Prasad’s insult about him having “no family,” PM Modi said on Monday that 140 crore Indians are his “family.”

The BJP started a social media campaign called “Modi ka Parivar” to show support for its leader.

Amidst the addition of “Modi ka Parivar” by many BJP politicians to their social media bios, the Congress questioned the party on Tuesday on the possible familial ties between Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi, two fugitive businessmen.
