Months later, MC closes his eyes to a roadside hole next to Yavnika Park in Panchkula

Every day, a significant accident might occur in a deep hole next to Yavnika Park in Sector 5 and Maheshpur Road. The ditch is more than fifteen feet deep and around ten feet broad.

The state of the property, according to local residents, has been neglected by the government for months. They voiced dissatisfaction at this.

The trench, according to the locals, was on the subterranean storm water drainage system in the region. It was dug out many months ago and has been in the same state ever since.

Rocky Mittal, a local who frequents Yavnika Park in Sector 5, said that urgent care is needed for the deep hole. The ditch is ten to twelve feet broad and easily has room for an automobile. The passengers of a car may perish if it were to turn even a little amount in the direction of this ditch. It is gradually breaking away from the side of the road and is about fifteen feet deep. Before a significant event occurs here, the government must to take action, he said.

There were other smaller but comparable ditches throughout the city, according to the residents, and they all required quick treatment. “The ditches need to be fixed quickly, so nobody has to step in after a serious incident occurs,” a bystander said.

Commissioner Sachin Gupta of the Municipal Corporation said that he has informed the MC Engineering Branch authorities about the situation and asked them to take prompt action.
