More than ten Odisha candidates are eligible for CSE-2023

State candidates who passed the Civil Services Examination (CSE)-2023 have credited persistence and careful planning for their test preparation for their accomplishment.

The results of the CSE-2023 were released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday, and around twelve candidates from the state passed the esteemed test. With the exception of Animesh Pradhan, who achieved the second-best all-India rank, Prajnanandan Giri and Ayushi Pradhan passed the test and came in 24th and 36th place, respectively. Amritanshu Nayak came in at number 110, Jayashree Pradhan at number 52, and Abhimanyu Malik at number 60.

In a similar vein, Shubhra Panda, Biswajit Panda, Rashmi Pradhan, Santosh Kumar Patra, and Sourav Das have obtained positions 204, 319, 343, 409, and 466, in that order. Anup Nayak and Rakesh Kumar Sahoo, respectively, have obtained 1001 and 575 rankings.

Ayushi Pradhan of Bhubaneswar raised her ranking from 334 in CSE-2022 to 36 in CSE-2023. This was her third effort overall, and the third time she attempted anthropology as an elective. She was a CET computer science student from the 2019 batch, preparing for the Indian Enterprise Development Services (IEDS) exam in 2023 based on her 2022 rank.

Ayushi, who relied on online tutoring and test series for the exam, said, “While in previous attempts, my understanding of anthropology was not up to the mark, I dedicated my entire time in preparing for the subject during my 2023 attempt.”

This was Prajnanandan’s third try at the CSE; he is presently the deputy collector of Bargarh. Despite having passed the preliminary test on every try and showing up for the interview in 2021, he was unable to pass the examination with eight marks.

He graduated from NISER, Bhubaneswar, with an integrated master’s degree and resides in Karanjia, Mayurbhanj. “This time, I took a three-month break to prepare before going to the Mains. I could only earn the rank this time around with careful preparation and consistent practice,” said 27-year-old Prajnanandan, who finished his education at Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Karanjia.

This time around, 1,016 individuals have been nominated for appointment to the Central Services Group A and B, IFS, IAS, and IPS. While the CSE-2023 written exam took place in September of last year, the personality test interviews took place in January and April of this year.

Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the state’s winning candidates. The chief minister encouraged them to work with determination to push welfare measures to the grassroots level and wished them a great future ahead, while the governor advised them to strive with passion and commitment to bring about significant social change.

“By achieving the all-India second rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2023, Aniesh Pradhan has brought pride to Talcher and Odisha,” Pradhan tweeted. The union minister urged the chosen applicants to serve the people and carry out their duties in the sake of creating a “developed India.”
