MP Asaduddin Owaisi requests an impartial investigation into Mukhtar Ansari’s death

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said on Friday that Mukhtar Ansari, a mobster turned politician, was “slowly poisoned” at the Banda jail, according to his family’s allegations. Owaisi is demanding an impartial investigation into Ansari’s murder.

“There were no concerned doctors in the hospital to treat the poison he had been given,” said the AIMIM president, citing Ansari’s older brother, MP Afzal Ansari.

Afzal had allegedly said, citing his brother, that his brother had informed him that, over a 40-day period when he was incarcerated, he was twice given a deadly chemical mixed with his meals, and that this was the cause of his poor health.

The fact that he wasn’t sent to a specialty hospital is startling. After being brought to a hospital, he received inadequate medical care. The fact that he was returned to jail in a short period of time is the most surprising of all. In the sake of justice and the law, I hope that the UP government would conduct an unbiased investigation. The world need to be aware of what has transpired. Owaisi said, “This is not how individuals pass away while in court custody.

The lawmaker brought up the fact that this is the second time a prisoner in UP has passed away while under court supervision. “Earlier, the police shot and killed two condemned inmates, including Atiq Ahmed, an ex-MP. Owaisi said that the family’s concerns had to be given careful consideration.

Owaisi stated that Ansari, a five-time Mau MLA, was secure inside the prison, despite the state government’s claims that Uttar Pradesh is run by the rule of gun rather than the rule of law.
