Nagpur cyber police confiscate 40 mobile phones, 2,626 SIM cards, and two online fraudsters

According to news agency PTI, the Nagpur cyber police have detained two individuals from Uttar Pradesh and taken 40 cell phones and 2,626 SIM cards from them that were purportedly used to commit online scams.

They said that the culprit was from the Uttar Pradesh district of Hardoi.

According to authorities, a resident of Nagpur, Maharashtra, lost Rs 11.40 lakh after falling victim to scammers in December of last year, as PTI reported on Wednesday.

The victim filed a complaint, and the Katol police opened a case in accordance with the applicable sections of the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code.

According to the officers, the Nagpur cyber police traced the offenders’ location to Hardoi based on reliable information, as PTI reported.

The two offenders, who are both 25 years old, were taken into custody along with 40 cell phones and 2,626 SIM cards, according to the authorities, who also said that they had the support of the local police, as PTI reported.

According to a police officer, on March 17, PTI was informed that a guy was being arrested in Nagpur for allegedly murdering his father-in-law due to a family quarrel.

March 15, he continued, the murder occurred in Fetri village, in the vicinity of Kalmeshwar police station.

“His son-in-law, Firoz Shabbir Sheikh (34), brutally murdered his 65-year-old father-in-law while he slept.” A rod was swung at Ingale’s head. The source can be the conflict between Sheikh and his spouse,” he said, according to PTI.

The official also said that he assaulted his wife, who is hospitalized and in severe condition.
The official said that he was taken into custody and accused of murder.

In the meanwhile, police in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district stated that a six-year-old child died on Tuesday after inadvertently touching a live electric line owned by the state power utility in Bramhani village. PTI reported this.

According to an official, the event happened as the youngster was playing close to his home. The wire broke after a tree fell on it as a result of a hailstorm that hit the region, PTI said.

The official said that the youngster who passed away was enrolled in Kalmeshwar’s first grade.
