Naqvi’s Swipe at the INDIA Bloc: An Old Book with a New Cover

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi took aim at the INDIA opposition group on Wednesday, saying that the UPA’s status as a “NPA” (non-performing asset) had forced the “democratically defeated dynasty” to republish a “old book with new cover.”

The former Union minister attacked the Congress while taking part in several events and spoke to BJP supporters here, claiming the “dynasty” had formed an alliance with some new allies that was nothing more than a “congregation of confusion and contradiction.”

The “pilot is crazy” and the “passengers are cunning” in the new coalition, he added, comparing it to an aircraft. According to Naqvi, such a jet would either make an emergency landing or crash land.

According to a statement from his office, Naqvi said that the “arithmetic” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s triumph had corrupted the “mathematics” of his rivals. The “democratic determination to re-elect Modi” would defuse the “dynastic day-dreaming to remove Modi,” he said.

A “dagger of deceit” from the Congress stands in contrast to Prime Minister Modi’s “tried and tested” leadership, according to Naqvi. In order to compete with the BJP-led NDA, 26 parties have gathered in Bengaluru to create the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).
