Navy Chief R Hari Kumar: “India has the will and wisdom to be a space powerhouse.”

Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said today that Indian space scientists have shown to the world that their country has the desire and intelligence to be a “ace in space” in spite of many obstacles and technological denial.

Here, he was speaking during the opening ceremony of the three-day Indian Defence Space Symposium.

Senior military leaders and subject matter experts are attending the symposium, which is being held at Manekshaw Centre on April 18 and 20.

India has the capacity to design, build, commission, launch, and maintain space assets, according to the Navy Chief.

India has established itself as one of the select few nations with a space ecosystem. Our space industry is developing quickly,” he said.

In the meanwhile, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said, “Space is called the final frontier,” in a videotaped speech at the symposium. The vastness of space is boundless, and it continues to grow. It is difficult to pinpoint its boundaries precisely, just like any other frontier. There is still plenty for humanity to discover about the secrets of space. India wants to participate in the expedition.
