On the last day of their campaigns, candidates in Tamil Nadu are tense

On Wednesday, the last day of the Ramanathapuram election campaign, candidates from every political party were alert. Road shows were arranged by the three main contenders, Navas Kani, O Panneerselvam, and Jayaperumal, in the town of Ramanathapuram.

Following his vote-gathering tour in Ramanathapuram town, incumbent MP Navas Kani ended up close to the Aranmanaj region. He promised to respond to concerns about, among other things, the Uchipuli airport and train services. Kani also pledged to keep up the offer of educational support.

O Panneerselvam, the former chief minister, traveled to Rameswaram for his farewell campaign. Additionally, a flying squad stopped OPS’s car to look for any missing voter cash. In order to end the protracted problems, OPS promised in his farewell address to reclaim the Katchatheevu and reinstate fishermen’s rights. Following his roadshow, AIADMK candidate Jayaperumal went to Paramakudi. He promised to take care of the drinking water problems by implementing the Vaigai-Cauvery-Gundar connecting plan along with other development projects.

Jayaperumal is charged with violating the poll code.

Tuesday, the AIADMK candidate was reportedly arrested for putting stickers on EB poles in Ramanathapuram. Five vote violation complaints were reportedly filed on Tuesday in Ramanathapuram for pasting posters and flying party flags in cars, according to police sources. The Thiruvadanai police arrested Jayaperumal for placing party emblem stickers on an electricity pole in a hamlet without authorization.
