Panic after a fire at a school in West Delhi; no one is hurt

New Delhi: Following a fire on Wednesday, there was panic at a government school in Nihal Vihar, west Delhi. All pupils were quickly evacuated by the school administration, and no injuries were recorded.

According to preliminary findings, the school’s temporary storage may have been the source of the fire. Sources claim that the chamber was constructed a short distance from the main structure and that a number of very flammable objects, including furniture and old books, were stored inside.

At 10:14 a.m., the fire service got a call, and three fire tenders were sent right away. Fire authorities reported that the fire had been put out by 10.40 .

A thick cloud of smoke could be seen rising from the structure on the CCTV video that captured the incident. A few others were also seen attempting to put out the fire using water and fire extinguishers. Firefighters report that everything stored in the makeshift storehouse burned.
“The pupils had left the building as soon as they were informed about the fire, and the school was in session at the time of the occurrence. Their parents arrived at the same location. A fireman said, “There was a panic situation, but everything was brought under control. “The storeroom was situated at a distance from the main classroom building.” Nobody was hurt, he said.

Authorities believe that the fire may have been started by a short circuit. An officer said, “After a proper investigation, we will get to identify the reason.”

Six buses at a Dwarka school caught fire earlier this month. Despite the fact that no casualties were recorded, it expanded to two ground floor rooms.
