PM takes the metro to the DU centennial events

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled by metro from Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station to Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station in order to attend the Delhi University (DU) centennial festivities.
Pictures of the Prime Minister riding the metro while under heavy security are being posted on social media, showing him mingling with the other riders.
“Using the Delhi Metro to go to the DU programme. Happy to have kids as my fellow travellers, the prime minister said in a tweet.

The Prime Minister rode today on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro, according to a DMRC official. Around 10:35 AM, he left Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station and boarded the Metro train to go to Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station.
Around 12:40 PM, the DMRC employee noted, the Prime Minister also returned from Vishwavidyalaya to Lok Kalyan Marg station.
The PM practically placed the cornerstone for three buildings and unveiled a collection of coffee table books, including a logo book, while serving as the ceremony’s primary guest.
These structures include an academic block in Maurice Nagar, a computer facility, and the faculty of technology (North Campus).
On May 1, 1922, the University of Delhi was founded. With over 6 lakh students, 86 departments, 90 colleges, and significant growth over the last century, the university has made a significant contribution to the development of the country.
