Poll bonds are the largest swindle in India since independence, according to K Selvaperunthagai, president of TNCC

In a Friday press conference, TNCC President K Selvaperunthagai harshly criticized the BJP for allegedly accumulating large sums of money via electoral bonds, calling it the worst swindle in the history of Independent India.

Selvaperunthagai accused the saffron party of turning the advantages of corruption into “electoral bonds,” and he denounced the practice of utilizing electoral bonds to transmit party finances. Additionally, he said that the union government was using investigative agencies such as the ED, CBI, and I-T as a means of raising money and exerting pressure on contributors.

The leader of the TNCC listed a number of businesses that have contributed significant sums of money to the BJP via electoral bonds. According to his allegations, some firms gave donations in excess of their sales, while others gave after being targeted by central agencies for searches.
