President of the Congress, Kharge, accuses Modi of bringing India’s economy to ‘Defaulter Kaal

In a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Saturday that his administration is driving India’s economy into “defaulter kaal” owing to the alleged increase in arrears from willful defaulters.

In addition, Kharge shared a media story on X that said that since March 2019, the amount owed to willful defaulters has increased at a rate of more than Rs 100 crore per day.

“Narendra Modi ji, Your government is taking India’s Economy to ‘Defaulter Kaal’!” Kharge said in a post on X. All you have wanted to do is destroy people’s money and give ‘Muft Ki Revdis’ to your friends.”

Kharge questioned, “Is it not true that since March 2019, dues from willful defaulters have increased by an astounding Rs 100 crore every day?”

The Congress leader questioned, “Has your government not written off Rs 14.56 lakh crore NPAs in last 9 financial years?”

“Your Govt stands guilty of — Helping serious economic offenders like Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, Vijay Mallya, Jatin Mehta — loot and scoot from India!” Kharge said that.

“Backbreaking price rise, plunging the savings of ordinary people, while creating monumental economic disparity” was another charge he leveled against the Modi administration.

“When desperate farmers cry for help, BJP refuses to waive off their loans, but when moneybag cronies want write offs, your government obliges in a jiffy!” added the politician.

“Come 2024, and people of India shall reply to each and every assault that you made on the Economy!” stated Kharge.
