Punjab Chief Minister broke his MSP pledge: Partap Singh Bajwa

Partap Singh Bajwa, the leader of the opposition, today chastised Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for breaking his pledge to provide MSP for 23 crops.

Before the state’s Assembly elections, according to Bajwa, Mann and Anmol Gagan Mann, the minister of tourism, had promised to buy 23 crops from the MSP if the AAP took power.

“Mann promised to buy moong crop at the MSP after winning the Assembly elections, but he broke his word. Farmers were thus compelled to sell their produce to private parties for less money, according to Bajwa.

“The MSP for fruits, vegetables, and other crops is provided by the Kerala government. Bajwa questioned, “If Kerala can do this, why can’t Punjab?”
