Punjab Chief Minister taunts “voiceless” Sunny Deol and launches Kalsi’s Gurdaspur campaign

Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan begged the people of Gurdaspur constituency to vote for Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, who could voice their concerns in Parliament, rather than making the same mistake they did in 2019 when they elected “a voiceless” Sunny Deol as their MP.

At a gathering held at Hanuman Chowk to launch Kalsi’s campaign, the chief minister was speaking.

Nearly 4,000 people flocked to the demonstration venue in spite of the intense heat and unique security measures. Since daybreak, the place has been transformed into a stronghold.

Despite the strict security, one individual was able to get past it and get up to the podium, embarrassing the police. However, the CM quickly defused tensions by declaring from the stage that “everything was well.” The demonstrator then gave a memorandum of requests to the chief minister before being escorted out by the police.

The chief minister entertained the people with amusing tales about Sunny Deol, his “Dhai Kilo Ka Haath,” and his total nonattendance from the electorate that overwhelmingly elected him. He left the audience stunned when he challenged the Badal family as well. Sukhbir Badal and his spouse Harsimrat Kaur came under fire as he said that they were ignorant of Punjab’s issues. Additionally, he chastised Gurdaspur-born Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa.

Maan claimed to have some knowledge of the workings of Parliament having served two terms in the Lok Sabha. “After Sherry Kalsi is elected, I will give him my special password for getting things done,” he said.

Kalsi asked people to support his party since, over the last two years, it had implemented a number of constructive measures. Among the requests made by Raman Bahl was the establishment of a hospital and medical college inside or near the city.

Lal Chand Kataruchak, the Cabinet Minister, was also present on the event.
