“I think that a society’s ability to connect by rail is essential. According to Sinha, a railway line not only improves communication with other areas but also boosts economic development, raises the level of life, and forges a new course for the place in question.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lay the cornerstone for the rehabilitation of 508 railway stations throughout the nation at a cost of Rs 24,470 crores, Sinha was speaking at a celebration at Budgam Railway Station.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in JK, three of these railway stations—Jammu Tawi, Udhampur, and Budgam—will be renovated.

According to the Lt. Governor, India is undergoing rail projects in Kashmir Valley of historic size under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

“Kashmir and Kanyakumari will be linked by the end of current fiscal year. It would link the valley to all significant business hubs throughout the nation, said Sinha.

The LG said that the Baramulla-Banihal Railway Line, New Baramulla-Uri, Awantipora-Shopian, Sopore-Kupwara, and Anantnag-Bijbehara-Pahalgam Rail Lines have all been doubled thanks to approval from the Railway Board.

The additional networks, he said, “will improve rail connectivity in the valley once approved.”
