Swachh Survekshan Awards 2023: “Cleanest Cities in India: Indore and Surat”

The Central government’s annual cleanliness survey findings were released on Thursday, and it found that although Navi Mumbai remained in third place, Indore and Surat were declared the “cleanest cities” in the nation.

Maharashtra took first place in the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2023 category of “best-performing states,” followed by Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

For the eighth consecutive year, Indore won the title of cleanest city.

At a function held here, President Droupadi Murmu presented the recipients with their prizes. The occasion was attended by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, among others.
