Reduced maximum temperature provides some heat relief

Nashik: Due to partly overcast weather on Monday, the city’s highest temperature dropped to 35.9 degrees Celsius, providing much-needed respite to its residents, who had been suffering from extreme heat for four days in a row last week.
With a temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius, April 18 was the warmest day of the season in Nashik so far.

After then, throughout the course of the previous four days, the city’s highest temperature gradually dropped by 4.9 degrees, to 35.9 degrees Celsius.
Dinesh Mathur, a local, said, “We had hot days over the past week.” We didn’t spend the afternoon outdoors. We had to utilize coolers to combat the extreme heat. Nevertheless, the weather has changed, and the heat’s intensity has somewhat decreased.

According to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) prediction, Nashik will continue to have gloomy weather through Tuesday while maintaining its current maximum temperature.
But starting on Wednesday, the city will have bright skies, and over the next three days, the maximum temperature was predicted to increase by around 2 degrees Celsius.
The previous four days have seen a 6 degree Celsius decrease in the highest temperature in Niphad, the Nashik district’s grape-growing area.

The Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth collected data showing that the highest temperature in Niphad dropped from 40.4 degrees Celsius on April 18 to 34.4 degrees Celsius on April 22.
Another north Maharashtra city, Jalgaon, had a high temperature of 43 degrees Celsius last week. It had dropped to 36.7 degrees Celsius by Monday, however.
On that particular day, the lowest temperature was 24.1 degrees Celsius.
In a similar vein, Malegaon’s highest temperature dropped to 39.6 degrees Celsius on Monday after surpassing 43 degrees last week.
