Restarting the fashion design degree

This academic session, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)’s Department of Apparel and Textile Science has reopened its Fashion Designing (Hons) program for aspiring designers.

Professor and Head of Department Dr. Harminder Kaur Saini disclosed the eligibility requirements, stating that students in Class XII from any stream may be admitted to this degree program based on their Board scores. She said, “The department is credited by a group of qualified faculty and houses state-of-the-art laboratories, providing a congenial atmosphere both for personal and professional growth.”

She also said that after graduation, students may pursue careers as designers or production supervisors, among other positions.
