Salman Khurshid’s wife Louise has an arrest warrant issued by a special court

BAREILLY: In a case involving the alleged misappropriation of public money, an MP-MLA court has issued an arrest warrant for Louise Khurshid, the wife of former foreign affairs minister Salman Khurshid. The special MP-MLA court’s Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shambhavi issued an arrest warrant on Wednesday for two people, including Louise Khurshid, and set February 16 as the hearing date.

On Thursday, Special Public Prosecutor Achintya Dwivedi said that the Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust of Louise Khurshid, which is located in the district’s Bhojipura area, organized a program for the distribution of prosthetic limbs and equipment in the 2009–2010 year.
After learning of the anomalies, the authorities launched an investigation into the subject.
He added that it was discovered that the software had forged signatures and seals, which resulted in the misappropriation of government monies.
He stated that in this respect, a complaint was filed in 2017 at the Bhojipura police station.
The FIR implicated Louise Khurshid as well as Mohammad Athar Farooqui, the organization’s secretary. The police had submitted a charge sheet to the court against the two defendants.
After then, the accused was summoned by the court many times, but he never showed up for the hearing or was granted bail.
