Sudhar village’s kitchen gardens are supervised by an expert

Under the Nutri Smart Village Programme of the All India Coordinated Research Project—Women in Agriculture, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Department of Resource Management and Consumer Science kept an eye on kitchen gardens and gave out forty summer vegetable kits in Sudhar village.

Attending the occasion were 40 farm women and farmers, together with anganwadi personnel, assistants, and the president of the Cooperative Society.

In an effort to encourage people to eat nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables from their own kitchen gardens, scientist Dr. Shivani Rana of AICRP-WIA gave a lecture and demonstration on the design of a vegetable kitchen garden.
