the arrival of US President Joe Biden in New Delhi for the G20 summit

To attend the G20 Summit, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US Vice President Joe Biden came here on Friday.

The bilateral meeting between Biden and Modi is set for Friday. The two leaders will probably examine the outcomes of the choices they made during the prime minister’s formal state visit to Washington in June during their meeting.

The US president will adhere to COVID-19 recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) while in attendance at the G20 Summit, according to the White House.

Jill Biden, the first lady, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The 80-year-old President Biden had the viral test on both Monday and Tuesday, but the results came back negative.

At the two-day summit beginning on Saturday, India plans to make a push for the finish line in addressing some of the complex global challenges like the worries of the Global South, the effects of the Ukraine conflict, the bleak economic outlook, and promoting inclusive growth in a fragmented geopolitical environment.

The G20 member nations account for over two-thirds of global population, over 75% of global commerce, and nearly 85% of the world’s GDP.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and the European Union (EU) are included in the group.
