The doctors at Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics are excellent, and even the wealthy visit them: CM Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, said on Tuesday that there are already 533 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics (AAMCs) operating in Delhi. He also claimed that since the facilities’ physicians and services are of high quality, even the wealthy seek care there.

Speaking after opening a new Mohalla Clinic in Tilak Nagar’s Keshopur Mandi, he said that over two crore people visited AAMCs’ OPDs in 2022–2023, and more over 10 lakh tests were performed during this time. On Tuesday, five new mohalla clinics—including the one in Keshopur Mandi—will be opened up in the nation’s capital.

The remaining four AAMCs are situated in Block D, Govindpuri, Guru Ravidas Marg, Kalkaji Market, and Block C, Shahbad Dairy area. One of the key goals of the Arvind Kejriwal administration to improve Delhi’s primary healthcare system is the establishment of mohalla clinics.

According to Kejriwal, there are now 533 mohalla clinics operating in Delhi, 512 of which are open during the morning shift and 21 during the evening shift. In addition, he said that more Mahila Mohalla Clinics, which are mohalla clinics exclusively for women and are entirely staffed by women, are needed.
