There will soon be another BRS MLA in Congress

T Prakash Goud, the MLA for Rajendranagar, is expected to join the Congress shortly, which would be a major blow to the BRS.

He met Chief Minister A Revath Reddy here on Friday. He indicated his desire to join the Congress, according to sources, and the CM approved the suggestion. After Congress took over the state, he had met the CM for the second time.

The fourth MLA to defect from the BRS and join the governing party will be Prakash Goud. Danam Nagender, Kadiyam Srihari, and Tellam Venkat Rao, three MLAs, just joined the Congress.

In 2009 and 2014, Prakash Goud was victorious as an MLA from Rajendranagar, having begun his political career with the TDP. He thereafter became a member of the BRS and won the seat again, in 2018 and 2023.

Family of KTR joins Cong

A Revanth Reddy, the chief minister, was present when Edla Rahul Rao, a relative of BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s wife, joined the Congress. Rahul joined the Congress thanks to the efforts of Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, a former MLA.
