Today, the AAP will sound the election bugle from Mohali

With party national leader Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann running for office on a platform of “pro-farmer, anti-corruption, and anti-dynastic politics,” the AAP is ready to begin its election campaign in Punjab on Monday.

The campaign’s launch will take place in Mohali. This evening, Kejriwal traveled from Kurukshetra to Chandigarh. The leadership will confront the opposition from the start of the party’s election campaign in addition to showcasing the resources provided to the general public, such as free electricity, ration delivery to homes, mohalla clinics, etc.

According to sources, the AAP leadership is anticipated to deal the Congress “softer blows” than the Akali Dal and the BJP since both the AAP and the Congress are a member of the INDIA bloc. They want to attack the BJP for its “anti-farmer policies” and the Akali Dal for its “drug and sacrilege issues.”

The party election campaign will be started by Kejriwal and Mann, but it is doubtful that the candidates’ identities would be revealed right once.

According to party sources, the party is interested in having certain ministers and MLAs run for office in light of the opposition parties’ predicted fierce battle. The governing party has favored the candidacies of a few ministers and sitting MLAs to run in the Lok Sabha elections in many pre-poll surveys. Three ministers, except Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, who is most likely to run for Sangrur, are reportedly begging with the party’s leadership not to run for office. The party’s announcement of its candidates may thus be postponed by one or two days.

During his visit to the city, Kejriwal is anticipated to assess the circumstances and make a final determination about the candidates. “On Wednesday or Thursday only could the candidates be announced,” a party insider said.

Prior to announcing its candidates for the 13 seats, the party would also prefer to wait for the current efforts being made for the Akali-BJP electoral alliance. If a coalition is formed, the AAP would nominate candidates who are Panthic, including those from Khadoor Sahib, Amritsar, and Anandpur Sahib.
