Traffic restrictions are in place as Delhi Police conducts full dress rehearsals for the G20 summit

According to sources, Delhi Police conducted complete dress rehearsals for the G20 Summit on Sunday by escorting carcades from various locations around the city.

The G-20 Virtual Help Desk provided real-time traffic information, which the police urged citizens to use while planning their routes to and from the airport, train stations, or bus terminals.

According to the police, the first rehearsal took place between 8 and 9 am, the second between 9:30 and 10 am, and the last rehearsal will take place between 12:30 and 4:00 pm.

On Sunday, there will be restrictions on how traffic can move through the Mahatma Gandhi Marg, IP Flyover, Rajghat Chowk, Shanti Van Chowk, Saleem Garh Bypas, Bhairon Road, Ring Road, Mathura Road, Shershah Road, and C-Hexagon roundabouts, as well as those at Yashwant Place, Brig Hoshiyar Singh Marg and Tolstoy Marg.

The traffic police have recommended commuters to plan their trips in advance so they may avoid certain routes during the designated time slots since they may suffer heavier than usual traffic on these roads and intersections, according to the police.

It has been suggested to commuters to utilize the subway during the rehearsal.

The same was true for Saturday’s rehearsals.

According to police, commuters may access the north-south corridor through Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Noida Link Road, Pusta Road, Yudhistir Setu, ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Ring Road, and Majnu Ka Tila.

According to the police, passengers would be permitted to go to the airport or the New Delhi and Old Delhi train stations in their own cars, auto-rickshaws, and taxis.

In most locations within the national capital, city bus services would not be impacted.

However, depending on the current traffic scenario, there can be detours on certain sections of road in the New Delhi area, the police noted.
