Two accomplices are at large after a Mandi Gobindgarh resident was detained for attempted murder

A man who reportedly opened fire on his opponent at Mandi Gobindgarh’s main market yesterday due to a money disagreement was taken into custody by the district police. From him, the police seized seven rounds and a.32 bore revolver manufactured in the nation. His two companions are not in custody.

Speaking to the media, SSP Ravjot Grewal stated that Mandi Gobindgarh resident Sandeep Singh had reported to the police that he was in conflict with Mandi Gobindgarh resident Bharat Bhushan Joshi over a loan of Rs 20,000. He claimed to have called Bharat Bhushan to request a return of the money and then invited the complaint to the main market to collect the money. When he and his brother Ramandeep Singh arrived at the market, Bharat Bhushan and his cronies Prince and Anupam were there.

The complainant said that when Bharat Bhushan fired fire on him, the three began beating them up. Sandeep said that after a near escape, they left the area.

A complaint was filed in accordance with the Arms Act’s Section 25 and the IPC’s Sections 307 and 34.

After receiving the complaint, the police reportedly moved quickly, detained Bharat Bhushan within an hour, and took the pistol and ammunition used in the crime from him, according to the SSP. She claimed that his two accomplices will be taken into custody shortly and that they will look into where the suspect obtained the prohibited gun and ammunition.

In response to a question, she said that Ramandeep and Sandeep had criminal histories. Bharat Bhushan had no criminal history, yet they were both facing seven criminal charges, including one under Section 307 of the IPC.
