Vijayawada: NTR district received 58 nominations

Vijayawada: On the sixth day of nomination filing, 58 contenders submitted nominations for seven Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seat. For the Lok Sabha seat, 11 candidates submitted nominations, while 47 people ran for the Assembly seats.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 25. Polling will take place on May 13. This information was provided to the media by NTR district election officer S Dilli Rao on Wednesday.

A large rally was held by certain candidates before to their nominations. Nomination papers were filed twice by some candidates.

Kesineni Nani, the YSRCP contender for the Lok Sabha segment, submitted her nomination papers. The nomination papers were submitted by Indian National Congressman Valluru Bhargav. Kesineni Sivanath, also known as Chinni, is the leader of the TDP.

Nominations were made by D Lurthu Mary of the Jai Bheem Rao Bharat Party and M Venkateswara Rao of the Bahujan Samaj Party. In the district, returning officials were gathering nomination papers for Assembly segments.

In the Vijayawada West seat, 10 candidates submitted nominations in total. Sujana Chowdary, a BJP candidate, submitted two sets of nomination documents. Nominations were made by G Koteswara Rao of the CPI, Shaik Asif of the YSRCP, Potina Venkata Ramarao of the Jai Bharat National Party, and Ramana Prasad of the Samajwadi Party. Nominations were received from 11 contenders for the Vijayawada Central seat. Nominations were made by Velampalli Srinivas of the YSRCP, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao of the TDP, and others.

Devineni Avinash, a YSRCP contender, submitted the nomination papers for the Vijayawada East sector. Gadde Kranti Kumar, the head of the TDP, and other candidates submitted nominations for the East seat.

Vasanta Krishna Prasad, the leader of the TDP, submitted his nomination papers for the Mylavaram assembly seat. In Mylavaram, five candidates submitted nominations.

Monditoka Jagan Mohan Rao, the leader of the YSRCP and a current MLA, submitted a candidacy in Nandigama.

Nominations for the Tiruvuru segment were made by Congress politician Lam Tatiyya Kumari.Samineni Udaya Bhanu, the YSRCP leader and sitting MLA, submitted candidacy papers in Jaggaiahpet. In Jaggaiahpet, TDP candidate Sriram Rajagopal and other candidates submitted nominations.

Political parties and independent candidates were given rigorous restrictions to obey by the Election Commission.

Before submitting his candidacy, Devineni Avinash, the head of the YSRCP, staged a sizable demonstration. At the event were several hundred party officials, sympathizers, and enthusiasts.
