Voting by the cent at the Naxal area booth in MP before 10 AM

Before 10 AM on Friday, 100% of voters in the Balaghat Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh, which is impacted by the naxal attacks, cast ballots in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The booth is located in the severely impacted Naxal region in the forest hamlet of Duglai, inside the boundaries of the Roopjhar police station, according to local law enforcement authorities. Eighty of the registered voters cast their ballots between the hours of seven and ten in the morning.

Soon after their wedding ceremonies, a number of recently married couples also cast ballots at different booths.
