Yamunanagar doctor offering drugs and claiming to have a male kid detained

A doctor named Ravinder Malik has been taken into custody by the authorities. He was purportedly peddling drugs that promised a male child.

The doctor appeared before a duty magistrate on Wednesday, who placed him on police remand for four days, according to Jagdish Chander, SHO of the city police station in Yamunanagar.

SHO Jagdish Chander said, “A police team took him to Moga in Punjab and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh for the recovery of certain things, which can’t be disclosed yet.”

On April 16, a team from the Health Department raided a clinic close to Fountain Chowk. The team included Dr. Shalini Saini, Medical Officer of Mukand Lal District Civil Hospital, Yamunanagar, and Dr. Vipin Gondwal, Deputy Civil Surgeon (PNDT), Yamunanagar.

A decoy was reportedly given medications by the doctor, who assured her that taking them would result in the birth of a male child. He reportedly stole two 500 rupees from the dummy.

The physician was requested by the team members to provide a legitimate drug license that would have enabled him to store medications and practice allopathic medicine, but he was unable to do so. Additionally, he was unable to provide purchase invoices for any allopathic medications or other medications that he had.
