Zila Parishad ex-chairman alleges Jai Ram Thakur disregarded Hamirpur as chief minister

Rakesh Thakur, the former Chairman of the Zila Parishad, told reporters at this location today that Jai Ram Thakur was deceiving people on development concerns and had disregarded the Hamirpur district during his time as Chief Minister.

He claimed that while Jai Ram was now regularly coming to the district to gather support for the BJP, the people had turned against the party and its leaders, as seen by the poor attendance at the party’s recent event at the Gandhi Chowk in this area.

He said that although the Sukhu administration contributed over Rs 248 crore for the establishment of the medical college and facilities during its one-year reign, Jai Ram had only given Rs 32 crore during the BJP’s control. He continued by saying that Sukhu had approved Rs 56 crore for the building of the bus station, which had been delayed for more than 13 years.
