This partnership is the second-best for the eighth wicket or less in the tournament’s history, in addition to being the greatest eighth-wicket stand in IPL history.

The Gujarat Titans’ Rashid Khan and Alzarri Joseph hold the record for the greatest partnership in this category, having put up an 88-run stand against the Mumbai Indians in the previous season.
Third place is occupied by Brad Hodge and James Faulkner, who combined for 69 runs for the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad in 2014.
Badoni was instrumental in their innings, reaching his first IPL fifty in only 31 balls. Before launching his offensive against the pacers, he showed a combination of prudence against Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, the spinners. Arshad, however, showed off his batting skills and gave Badoni invaluable help by making significant runs.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, their outstanding batting performance made sure that LSG amassed a formidable score of 167/7 in the 20 overs that were given to them. This gave their bowlers a formidable goal to defend.
