Ambati Rayudu’s Firm Reaction To The Reported Quote, “Blame MS Dhoni For CSK Loss”

The Indian Premier League (IPL) leadership debut of Ruturaj Gaikwad has not been without its ups and downs so far. On the eve of the IPL 2024 opening against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gaikwad succeeded the great MS Dhoni as captain of CSK. In his first eight games in command, CSK had won four times under his leadership. CSK seemed to be on the right track, as they had won four of their first six games. Nonetheless, Gaikwad is under a lot of strain after his team’s devastating home and away losses to the Lucknow Super Giants in their last two games.

He received criticism from both fans and analysts for their recent home defeat to LSG, as Marcus Stoinis’s powerful hitting exposed Gaikwad’s strategies and CSK’s bowling.

MensXP claims that Ambati Rayudu, a former batter for CSK, also chastised Gaikwad for his field placements and leadership.

“Ruturaj (Gaikwad) made poor field placements in the death overs. We could see that Rayudu lacked expertise in leading the team, as stated by Star Sports.

The website also said that in the same conversation, former Indian batter Navjot Singh Sidhu contended that if everyone holds MS Dhoni responsible for CSK’s victories, then he ought to be held accountable for their losses as well.

“It is unfair to hold Dhoni responsible for both the victories and the defeats for CSK. Dhoni remains the principal brain tank, according to a comment from Sidhu.

Rayudu, however, has refuted the allegations and said he never said anything like that about Dhoni, CSK, or even Gaikwad.

Ambati attacked the newspaper on social networking site X, which was previously known as Twitter, stating: “I wasn’t even making comments on that particular day. I was collecting mangoes at my farm. Please use responsibility while writing and refrain from spreading misinformation.”
