When the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) play the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday at Ekana Stadium, they’ll be looking to snap their losing run after two straight losses. LSG has been on a two-game losing run after they had a great start to the season, winning three of their first four games. They lost by six wickets to Delhi Capitals in the first game, and then they were destroyed by Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets, which put an end to their momentum.

Rahul’s wife, Athiya Shetty, was sighted at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow during LSG’s practise session before to the next match.

On Thursday, Rahul’s colleagues joined him in celebrating his 32nd birthday. The spouse of the cricket player sent a greeting on Instagram for her spouse.

The caption said, “My whole heart for my whole life, happy birthday, my everything.”

The two groups had rather different experiences in their previous two games. While Ruturaj Gaikwad’s squad, still headed by the incomparable Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is entering the match on a winning streak, LSG, captained by KL Rahul, has suffered a string of losses.

Despite its potency, LSG’s batting lineup doesn’t exactly inspire the greatest degree of confidence, so it will be interesting to watch how it responds to an attack in which every bowler offers a unique contribution.

Even captain KL Rahul, who has scored 204 runs at 138 SR, has not been at his best, and his cautious starts have done more harm than good. It seems that young Ayush Badoni is competing for a spot on the team as well. With 19 sixes in six games, only Nicholas Pooran has seemed threatening.

A loss would force LSG further farther south, while CSK will want to solidify their position in the standings with maybe their fifth victory.
