Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr is planning to sue Juventus for unpaid wages

For many observers, Cristiano Ronaldo’s tenure at Juventus may have resembled a fever dream. Now, however, it seems to have turned into a nightmare for the Italian team, as new rumors claim that the Portuguese star intends to sue Juventus for unpaid earnings from his time spent in Italy.

According to today’s news from the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally decided to file a lawsuit against the Bianconeri after they failed to pay him the sum of €19.9 million since they were trying to conserve money during the COVID period.

Ronaldo had previously discussed the matter with the prosecutor’s office in Turin before deciding to take legal action.

The legendary Portuguese spent three years in Turin after joining the team in 2018 after leaving Real Madrid. He later returned to Manchester United before leaving in January of this year to join Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League.

The Portuguese striker led Juve to two Serie A championships and the Coppa Italia trophy with an astounding 101 goals in 134 games.

Ronaldo is not the only player to have engaged in legal disputes with the Bianconeri in recent years, suggesting that Juventus may have developed a reputation for mistreating players.

In addition, Leonardo Bonucci, who has played for the club for the bulk of his professional career and is now at Union Berlin, plans to file a lawsuit regarding the training environment.

The legal action, which will also include a “request for compensation for damages due to the alleged lack of adequate training and preparation conditions available to Bonucci,” would allegedly be carried out by his attorneys, according to the claim.

In an interview, Bonucci stated, “It’s a decision that’s been a long time coming and is due to the fact that I’ve read and heard a lot of things that aren’t true.”
