DC vs. GT: In a thrilling match, Delhi is saved by Tristan Stubbs’ Superman fielding performance

Aakash Chopra joined the supporters in praising Tristan Stubbs after the South African batsman turned out a potential six to help DC defeat GT on April 24 in Delhi. The match was building to an exciting finish when the tragedy occurred in the 19th over of Gujarat’s innings. While on strike, Rashid Khan struck out for a six-off, a slower delivery from Rasikh Salam.

But Stubbs would hop up and make an incredible save, allowing Rashid to only manage a single. The DC hitter released the ball before his feet made contact with the boundary cushions, as seen by the videos. In the end, Stubbs’ save proved to be the game-changing moment as DC managed to maintain composure and win by a score of four runs.

Aakash Chopra made a hint in a tweet that said “2 points” that this fielding effort ultimately won the game for DC.

Stubbs also had a brilliant cameo for DC with the bat, taking apart Sai Kishore in the 19th over while scoring 26 off only 7 balls.

What went wrong in the DC vs. GT match?
Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to send DC in to bat. They lost three wickets in the powerplay and were in a bit of trouble. Nevertheless, Axar Patel, who scored his IPL highest of 66, provided excellent assistance for Rishabh Pant, who delivered a fantastic innings of 88.

As a result, GT lost Gill quickly before Sai Sudharsan and Saha worked well together to get them back on track. Nevertheless, DC persisted in picking up wickets and ultimately prevailed against Rashid Khan and David Miller.
