Afghanistan also finished with the same score in Chasing 212.

After the game, skipper Rohit Sharma, who was also named player of the match, was ecstatic.

“I’m not sure when this occurred most recently. During the post-match presentation, Rohit made a lighthearted comment, “I think I batted three times in one of the IPL games.”

“Creating the partnership was important and we (Rinku and I) kept talking to each other to not lose that intent in big games it was a good game for us to be in, the pressure was there and it was important to bat long and deep and not compromise on the intent we want to show,” Rohit said, kicking off his 190-wu stand with Rinku Singh.

“He demonstrated his bat skills in the past two series he participated in. very composed and somewhat aware of his might. As he ages, he is fulfilling his responsibilities and has performed well for India. In praising Rinku, Rohit said, “Augurrillates well for the team moving forward, wanted someone like that at the backend and we know what he has done in the IPL and he has carried that to the Indian colors too.”

Earlier, India rallied to record 212 for four after falling to 22 for four in the fifth over, driven by captain Rohit’s unbeaten 61 off 69 deliveries and Rinku’s 69 off 39 deliveries.

Gulbadin Naib led his team’s incredible comeback with a 23-ball 55 as Afghanistan also finished at 212.

The most effective bowler for Afghanistan was Fareed Ahmad Malik, who finished with fantastic figures of 3/20, despite Rohit and Rinku taking care of his companions.

India prevailed Thriller 3-0 to win the series.
