Due to a parole hold, Mukhtar Ansari’s older son could skip the burial

AGRA: Due to the inability of the Allahabad High Court to conclude the parole processes on Friday, Mau MLA Abbas Ansari, the eldest son of Mukhtar Ansari, could not be allowed to attend his father’s burial.

The attorney for the 32-year-old contacted the vacation officer of the Supreme Court, which was closed on Good Friday, requesting an “urgent hearing.” On Saturday, the final ceremonies will take place.

Because of a money laundering case, Abbas is being held at Kasganj prison; his brother Umar had already threatened to kill him while he was incarcerated.

As the parole processes at the Allahabad high court could not be concluded on Friday, Abbas Ansari, the oldest son of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari and MLA from Mau constituency, would not be allowed to attend his father’s burial, according to Deepak Lavania.
The 32-year-old’s solicitors requested an “urgent hearing” from the Supreme Court’s vacation officer since the court was closed on Good Friday.
Mukhtar’s remains were transferred from Rani Durgavati Medical College in Banda to his residence in Ghazipur after a postmortem examination. According to reports, his funeral ceremonies will take place on Saturday.
Vijay Vikram Singh, the superintendent of the Kasganj district prison, stated: “Abbas received word of his father’s death late on Thursday. Then, inside the cell, he prayed. He is being watched constantly, and his health is being tracked.”
Notably, in February of last year, Abbas was sent to the Kasganj district prison. He had previously been detained in Chitrakoot prison in relation to an enforcement directorate money laundering case.
