Felix Auger-Aliassime, a Canadian who was also a part of Team World the previous year, said the fact that Canada hosted the competition made the repeat triumph even more remarkable.

The nicest feeling is winning, and it’s good to return after London and compete in Vancouver, he remarked.

According to Auger-Aliassime, he really anticipates the chance to participate in team play.

He stated, “I feel incredibly pleased every time I play for a team. “I think the tour might feel lonely performing singles all the time. For me, it’s incredibly great to have teammates and to triumph together.

Roger Federer, a Swiss great, made his last career participation in Team World’s 2022 triumph.

After the cup presentation, Canadian Milos Raonic participated in a doubles match as an alternate for Team World who was competing in the competition.

He fought with Chris Eubanks against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Arthur Fils.

Regarding Raonic’s legacy, McEnroe remarked, “Milos is a guy who changed the way Canadians looked at our game of tennis.”

There were numerous lengthy rallies in the first doubles match on Sunday, and Shelton blasted a behind-the-back ball in the second game.

In order to keep fighting for its second victory of the three-day competition, both sets went to tiebreakers.

“We gave our all. Every every match, Team World played great tennis, according to Team Europe leader Bjorn Borg. We are obviously really dissatisfied. This is a considerably bigger loss than we anticipated, but what can we do? They excelled in tennis.
