Following Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s reunion, Delhi Police posts a humorous image

On Friday, March 29, in the midst of M Chinnaswamy Stadium, both Delhi lads, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli, put an end to their furious argument during the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 17.

After the 16th over was finished, during the strategic timeout, the touching event took place. The Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) coach, Gambhir, entered the field of play and went up to Virat, who was attempting to calm down during the interval.

They laughed together, shook hands, and gave each other hugs to put the past behind them.

Even though the event went viral on social media, Delhi Police used the much-anticipated reunion in a lighthearted manner to educate the public about how they (Delhi Police) may mediate a fight.

“Jhagda hua? (Wounded in a fight?) Press 112 and let me know if you need help! Dial 112 to settle the matter. Koi jhagda ‘Virat’ ya ‘Gambhir’ nahi! There is no major or enormous controversy,” Delhi Police wrote on ‘X’.

As KKR crushed RCB by seven wickets, the match between RCB and KKR, which was predicted to be a thriller, ended up being a one-sided contest. The away teams’ nine-match losing record this season came to an end with KKR’s triumph.

After winning the toss, KKR chose to field first to begin the match. The team captained by Shreyas Iyer quickly got rid of Faf du Plessis, but they lost steam when Virat and Cameron Green put up 65 for the second wicket. However, during the middle overs, just when it seemed like RCB had regained momentum, things went horribly wrong for them and they were no longer in charge.

With Virat’s unbeaten 83 and Dinesh Karthik’s explosive cameo (20 off 8 balls), they managed to score 182 for the cost of six wickets.

The top four for KKR responded with strikes, turning the tide of the match in their favour. With 19 balls remaining, Shreyas Iyer scored a captain’s knock (39* off 24 balls) to help the side cross the finish line.
