Fraser-McGurk may get a lot of knowledge from the IPL, the greatest competition in the world: The Ricky Ponting

Young players like Jake Fraser-McGurk, in the opinion of DC head coach Ricky Ponting, have a lot to learn from the Indian Premier League, the greatest domestic T20 league in the world. Speaking before of his team’s game against GT at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Ponting believes that the IPL is the best location to hone the skills of the young, daring opener, who is far from a completed product.

Fraser-McGurk stunned Ricky Ponting with a brilliant eighteen-ball score of sixty-five against SRH. Fraser-McGurk’s innings took the visiting team by storm, but SRH won the game by a commanding 67-run lead after the young player’s removal.

“Fraser-McGurk is a very gifted young guy, no question about it, but he is far from a completed product yet. Since the Indian Premier League is by far the greatest domestic Twenty20 tournament in the world, Ponting said that there are many areas in which he can still develop.

He just hit 65 off of 18 balls, but it’s critical that he take it as a lesson. Like (Yashasvi) Jaiswal did last night, he must score 100. The Australian captain who won the World Cup said, “Top-order batsmen, when they get the chance to make big scores, they should go and get it; that’s the difference between winning and losing games.”

“POREL ABHISHEK IS A FUTURE STAR”
The young Australian top-order batsman has conveyed his desire to collaborate with the renowned player. Fraser-McGurk has previously shown his abilities in the IPL and recorded the quickest List A century in cricket history.

“He’s learning, and over the next few years, I’d like to work with him more,” He’s simply a great little boy. “We are letting him go and play as he wants to,” Ponting said. “He has a simple game plan: smash the first ball for six, second ball for six.

The youthful wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel, who arrived as an impact player and made a few cameo appearances for DC, was also praised by the head coach of the team.

“On a few instances, we have seen Porel entering at No. 3. I believe he has great potential. He is very talented. “Every day he continues to learn, not only about his training but also about the various phases of the game,” Ponting said in conclusion.
