I want to learn from Dhoni as well, but Virat is a legend: Captain Zeeshan Maqsood of Oman

Zeeshan Maqsood, the captain of the Oman cricket team, has remarked that MS Dhoni, the previous Indian captain, and India’s staunch batsman Virat Kohli are both legends in the game of cricket.

Maqsood, whose family immigrated from the Punjabi city of Hoshiarpur, praised other young Indian athletes. “Virat Kohli is unquestionably a legend. Also excellent is Rohit Sharma. It would have been beneficial to learn from them both, Maqsood said ANI.
Maqsood, a left-arm spinner, expressed excitement at the prospect of facing Ravindra Jadeja, the top all-arounder in the Test format.

“Considering both, his strength is bowling. In key games, he also plays effectively with the bat. Since he bats left-handed as well, I probably should have questioned him about hitting shots. Being a left-arm spinner myself, Ravindra Jadeja is someone I would have absolutely sought assistance from.

When asked which three Indian teenagers are excellent players, he mentioned Shubham Gill, Ishan Kishan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

They play in an aggressive manner. The player Rinku Singh is extremely talented.
He promised to ask Mahendra Singh Dhoni how he manages to remain composed under pressure. “He maintains his composure whether he wins or loses the match.”

India, Australia, England, and Pakistan were named as the top four ICC World Cup teams.
Oman was unable to meet the requirements to enter the World Cup.

“It’s disappointing that I can’t go to India. Although we had been there before, it is really disappointing. Our aim was to compete in the World Cup, but we have gained knowledge through the process. My ancestors left Hoshiarpur in India and were originally from there. I then considered going there. In 2016, I was a member of the Oman team that earned a spot in India for the T20 World Cup. The squad and management continued to work together in support of one another after that. We have advanced significantly in ODI cricket over the last four years as well.

For those in Oman, participating in and qualifying for events like the ICC Qualifiers is a terrific opportunity. In Oman, people have begun to enjoy cricket. In Oman, cricket has grown and the country is progressing thanks to facilities, cricket fields, and indoor grounds. We have the same kind of amenities that a Test country enjoys. People have offered support and comments, he continued.

Additionally, the Oman skipper discussed how his group fared in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers.
“We lacked experience when we came to Sri Lanka. The toss was lost, and the Sri Lankan bowlers were excellent. Despite not having a fantastic start against Scotland, we performed better and still scored over 250 runs. These contests have taught us a lot of things.
