IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score The Most Runs in Match 44 Between LSG and RR

LSG vs. RR: In IPL 2024’s Match 44, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR). At 7:30 PM (IST) on Saturday, April 27, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the game will get in full steam.

To LSG’s dismay, the Royals prevailed in the first leg despite their fierce battle-cry between the two sides, winning by 20 runs in Jaipur.

How LSG reacts in their stronghold for the second leg is yet to be seen. After eight games, RR is the only team with the highest total of 14 points. They are leading the points table having won seven games and only lost one so far.

LSG, on the other side, has three losses and five victories to rank fourth in the standings. The team from Lucknow scored ten points. Let’s look at the four batters who can score the most runs in the competition’s Match 44.

1. KL Rahul: The manner LSG skipper KL Rahul slowed down his batting during the first leg’s run-chase against RR in Jaipur must have greatly irritated him. At a strike rate of 131.82, he scored 58 off 44 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Despite everything, he is eager to make amends in the home match against RR.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal: Throughout much of the season, the youthful player has had trouble lighting the match as RR’s opener. A century against the Mumbai Indians in the previous game, however, must have given them a ton of confidence and energy moving ahead. Jaiswal will be looking to score a sizable amount of runs after scoring 24 from 12 balls (3 fours, 1 six).

3. Nicholas Pooran: This season, the Caribbean has been absolutely amazing at the bat for the Lucknow-based team, speeding up the scoreboard with his aggressive style of cricket. In the first leg matchup versus RR, he top-scored for LSG with an undefeated 64 off 41 balls (four fours and four sixes).

4. Sanju Samson: The current season has gone very well for Samson, who has checked all the boxes as a captain, batter, and wicketkeeper. With 314 runs in only 8 games, he is his team’s second-leading scorer so far this season. Notably, in the first leg against LSG, he scored an undefeated 82 off 52 (3 fours, 6 sixes) and was voted Man of the Match.
