IPL 2024 will see Rishabh Pant lead the Delhi Capitals, Parth Jindal says

Parth Jindal, a co-owner of the Delhi Capitals, informed ESPNcricinfo that Rishabh Pant is the potential captain of the team going into the 2024 Indian Premier League.
Parth also said that Pant is hitting and jogging in addition to having begun his wicketkeeping routines. The team will determine “depending on how his body reacts” as to whether or not he will wear the wicketkeeping gloves for the team throughout the first half of the season.

“Barrio is at bat. He is sprinting. He has begun to take wickets. He’ll probably be ready for the IPL. Rishabh will lead from match one in the IPL, as I am anticipating him to play. We will only use him as a batter for the first seven games, and then we’ll decide whether to play him for the remainder of the IPL based on how his body responds, Jindal said.

Anrich Nortje will return to the Indian Premier League: Anrich Nortje, the speedster from South Africa, has also been verified by Parth Jindal Jindal to be “fit” and “going to make his comeback in the IPL”. Jindal is optimistic that the 30-year-old pacer will be ready to go for their first game of the season.

“He’s in shape. He is now bowing with 80% vigor. He’ll bowl at a hundred percent next week. He intends to return to the Indian Premier League. He’s going to train with us and be ready for our first game,” Jindal said.

Jindal also disclosed that Harry Brook, who bats in the bottom middle order (at six), may be used by the club as a tonker. With Mitchell Marsh leading Australia’s T20 team and Tristan Stubbs having an incredible SA20 season, the co-owner of the Capitals also seemed to be very happy.

“With Rishabh back, the team’s balance is much better, and we feel very confident.” With guys like Tristan Stubbs, who had a wonderful SA20 (with SA20 2024 winners Sunrisers Eastern Cape), and Mitch Marsh, who was named captain of Australia’s T20I team, we have a really strong roster and many of choices.”
