Men’s ODI World Cup: India retains the toss and chooses to bat first against the Netherlands

In the last league match of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first against the Netherlands.

India’s squad for the game is the same one that faced South Africa in their last league match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

It’s a chance for India to check all the boxes, according to Rohit Sharma.

We intend to bat. No specific cause. Regardless of starting at bat or bowling first, we have excelled in every area. Another chance to improve today and cross everything off the list. Bravo to the men who have assumed accountability and stepped up when it was most required. At the toss, Rohit said, “We are facing the same squad.

Scott Edwards, the captain of the Netherlands, is eager to play well and finish the World Cup with a bang.

“We also would’ve batted in this wicket.” Seems like a great wicket, but it’s a fantastic spot to chase. We’ve triumphed twice. We should give ourselves a chance and strive to do well today. We are going to have the largest crowd of the World Cup here. India needs to perform at its peak, just like they have. XI same for us.
