Most Sixes in the IPL Since 2022: Following CSK vs. LSG in the IPL 2024, Shivam Dube returns to the top of the big-hitting charts

After CSK vs. LSG IPL 2024 match 39, Shivam Dube of Chennai Super Kings took the lead again, while Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants tied Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals for second place in terms of most sixes in the Indian Premier League since 2022.

The IPL record for most sixes is held by the legendary Chris Gayle, who is followed in order by Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, players like Buttler, Dube, and Pooran have advanced significantly in the quest for maximums since the tournament expanded in 2022.

After being acquired by the reigning champions for Rs 4 Crore in the 2022 super auction, Dube, who has seen a significant transformation since joining CSK in the 2022 season, has hammered over 70 sixes in the Indian Premier League.

Since being acquired by LSG for Rs 16 crore during the 2023 season, Pooran has also changed as a player. Similar to Dube, the wicketkeeper-batter from the West Indies has risen to the top of the rankings with maximums in 2022, 2023, and the current 2024 campaign.

After experiencing a slump in his form the previous season, Buttler—who has been a reliable run scorer in recent years—rebounds this year with two hundreds in six innings and ten maximums, bringing his total to 69.

Since the 2022 season, Buttler, Dube, and Pooran have scored the most sixes in the IPL, followed by players like Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals. Liam Livingstone of the Punjab Kings and Andre Russell of the Kolkata Knight Riders are also included in the list.

In the last three seasons, including the current one, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Heinrich Klaasen, and Shimron Hetmyer have all achieved significant progress in terms of maximums. The players with the most sixes in the IPL since 2022 are listed below:
